Pasta salad



 
INGREDIENTS



  • ¾ cup of mayo (I prefer to use mayo olive oil to reduce fat & calories)
  • ¼ cup of sour cream
  • 1 Milk spoonful
  • ½ teaspoon of pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • ¼ teaspoon of garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon of crushed red pepper - optional

For salads:


  • 8 ounces of spiral pasta


  • 3-4 cups of chopped romaine lettuce (or a 10 ounce romaine lettuce packet)
  • 1 pint of grape tomatoes - halved
  • 1 ½ cup grated shredded cheese
  • 1 ½ cup slice of bacon (not given artificial flavor - about 6 ounces)


INSTRUCTIONS


  • Prepare the sauce by stirring mayo together, sour cream, milk, pepper, salt, garlic powder and crushed red peppers (if using) until smooth and well combined. Set aside.
  • Prepare pasta according to package instructions. After finishing cooking, drain well and transfer to a large salad bowl.
  • Add chopped lettuce, grape tomatoes, cheddar cheese, slices of meat, and prepared sauce.
  • Stir / stir until well blended.
