The Teflon Kastengel recipe is crisp, soft and simple



Ingredients:


  • Multipurpose wheat flour 500 grams
  • 250 gram grated cheddar cheese
  • 200 gram margarine
  • 25 gram milk powder
  • 25 gram cornstarch
  • Butter 4 tablespoons
  • Egg yolk 2 pieces
  • Cream 2 tablespoons (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon of fine salt
  • Emplex 1 teaspoon


Supplementary material:


  • 50 gram grated cheddar cheese
  • Yellow food coloring 2 drops
  • 1 egg yolk
  • Cooking oil 1 teaspoon
  • Water 1 tablespoon


How to Make Crispy and Soft Teflon Kastengel:


  • Sift first ingredients such as flour, cornstarch, powdered milk, and emplex until smooth. Set it aside.
  • Then shake it into one margarine, butter, and egg yolk using a mixer or do it manually with a wire shaker until soft and pale.
  • Add the cream (optional) and cheese, then shake again until completely mixed. then add the flour mixture and the milk powder little by little while stirring with the spatula.
  • Take a little dough, then form an elongated one size / two index finger segments (according to taste). Place it on a cutting board or flat plate.
  • Mix egg yolks to make spreads with cooking oil, food coloring, and water. Then shake it off until all the ingredients are evenly mixed. Brush the castengel surface with the mixture, then sprinkle with grated cheddar cheese on top.
  • Heat a skillet on the stove. Place the pan with the base on the top. Place the pot lid on top and wait until the pan is really hot.
  • After the pan is hot, spread the mat with margarine, then transfer the container to the top. Do not place the dough too tightly to provide enough room for development.
  • Cover the pan with the pan lid. Cook until the kastengel mixture is thoroughly cooked and dry using medium heat.
