Foaming caramel




INGREDIENTS


  • caramel corn
  • 12 C popcorn appears (about 1/2 C kernel)
  • 1 C brown sugar
  • 1/4 C Karo white syrup
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1 stick of real butter
  • 1/2 t baking soda
  • 1 t vanilla


Step



  • Place the popcorn and place it in a very large bowl; set aside. Add brown sugar, Karo syrup, salt and butter to the pan. Heat over medium heat until the butter melts and the mixture is tasty and bubbly.
  • Remove the caramel from the fire and add baking soda and vanilla, all will foam and foam.
  • Pour the mixture over the stirred corn and mix well until all the popcorn is closed.
  • At this point you can leave it as good and chewy caramel corn or you can bake it to make it tasty and crunchy. For crispy caramel corn, bake on an oiled baking sheet at 225 degrees for about one hour, stir every 15 minutes, or until you reach the crispness you want.
