Classic Soft and Crispy Kastengel Recipe



Ingredients :


  • 600 gram flour
  • 200 gram cheddar / cheese edam, grated
  • Butter 400 grams



Basting material:


  • 1 egg yolk
  • Butter 1 teaspoon
  • Vanilli 1 teaspoon


Topping Material:


  • Grated cheddar cheese as needed

  • The first step that needs to be done is to shake the butter until it's creamy, add the grated cheese. Then stir evenly.
  • Next, add the flour little by little while the mixture is stirred until blended.
  • If it has become a mixture, then form the mixture on a baking sheet. Spread with the basting ingredients that have been made then sprinkle with grated cheddar cheese to taste.
  • Then roast about 150'C for 20 minutes.
