Classic Soft and Crispy Kastengel Recipe
Ingredients :
- 600 gram flour
- 200 gram cheddar / cheese edam, grated
- Butter 400 grams
Basting material:
- 1 egg yolk
- Butter 1 teaspoon
- Vanilli 1 teaspoon
Topping Material:
- Grated cheddar cheese as needed

- The first step that needs to be done is to shake the butter until it's creamy, add the grated cheese. Then stir evenly.
- Next, add the flour little by little while the mixture is stirred until blended.
- If it has become a mixture, then form the mixture on a baking sheet. Spread with the basting ingredients that have been made then sprinkle with grated cheddar cheese to taste.
- Then roast about 150'C for 20 minutes.
