DOUBLE CHOCOLATE BANANA BREAD

Chocolate bread, but you will still taste bananas! I use and recommend the Dark Hershey Chocolate powder specifically in this recipe.


INGREDIENTS



  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 3 bananas are being mashed - about 1 cup
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup of cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup of chocolate milk


INSTRUCTIONS



  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9x5x3 bread pan with non-stick spray.
  • Add butter and sugar to the mixing bowl and stir until evenly mixed.
  • Beat eggs, vanilla, bananas and sour cream.
  • Stir in flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt.
  • Pour mixture into a prepared baking pan.
  • Sprinkle the top with chocolate chips and press gently into the mixture.
  • Bake for 70 minutes or until the tester comes out clean. If you bake this, the center will sink when cooling.
  • Allow the bread to cool completely before cutting and serving.
  • NOTE: I bake this bread in a ceramic pan. If you use a glass or metal pan, your baking time may vary. Supervise the bread and check with a tester before removing it from the oven.
