- 100 grams of baked beans (roasted)
- 1 clove of garlic
- 3-5 red chillies
- 25 grams of palm sugar
- 1 tablespoon of sweet soy sauce
- 100 ml of hot water
Instructions
- Mix all flour, tapioca flour, leeks, dried shrimp, garlic, salt, sugar, and white pepper in a bowl.
- Pour water into the mixture and put it in the mixture until it's not sticky anymore, you might not need to use all the water. If you use a runny mixture, you can fix it by adding the same amount of flour and tapioca flour. Shape into a 1 inch ball and set it aside.
- For boiled boil: Bring a pot of water to a boil. Drop the ball gently into boiling water and cook until it floats to the surface. Remove with a slotted spoon. It is traditional to stab a skewer around 3 to 4 bamboo balls. Serve immediately with peanut sauce.
- For fried chili: Fry the ball in hot oil until it's crispy and golden brown. Remove from hot oil and serve immediately with peanut sauce.
- Peanut sauce
- Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a skillet and saute garlic and chili until fragrant and cooked, about 3 minutes.
- In food processing, grind the beans, garlic, and chili into a fine paste. Move this into a bowl.
- Add the remaining ingredients and mix well to make peanut sauce.
