Caramel Apple Spice Crispy Treat


Ingredients

  • 10 Caramel Apple Cow Tales®
  • 6 cups cinnamon rice cereal
  • or plain rice cereal, but add 
  • ​1 extra teaspoon of cinnamon.
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • One 10oz (or more) bag mini marshmallows
  • Supplies
  • Non-Stick Cooking Spray
  • 8 x 8” Square Cake Pan
  • Parchment Paper

Instructions

  • Spray 8-inch square cake pan with cooking spray.
  • Line the pan with parchment paper (optional). Set aside.
  • Chop the Caramel Apple Cow Tales® into peanut-sized bits and set aside.
  • Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  • Reduce the heat to low and stir in the marshmallows until they melt. Stir in the spices and vanilla.
  • Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the rice cereal, followed by most of the Caramel Apple Cow Tales® pieces.
  • Pour into the prepared pan and press down lightly with a piece of parchment paper.
  • Sprinkle remaining pieces of Caramel Apple Cow Tales® over the top.
  • Cool to room temperature before cutting into one-inch squares.
